Was this a letter from the mail? If its a mistake, and it really is from microsoft, then just call them up and fix this small error.

Anymore info on where it came from?

Yes it was from microsoft, It looks like I'm going to have to call them on monday. The problem is, I'm wondering if they think I'm trying to "cheat them" and they won't tell me which character/figure out which character is the problem character and instead tell me to relook it up when I can't even find the shiet agian...

I could have sworn you were able to find the serial number within the OS. I'm not familiar on how to do it though. Maybe someon can help you out.

No you can, you convert the Product ID to the Key, microsoft will take either one, thing is though, I don't have all of this stuff with me anymore as I purchased it and then gave it out to family members. (In family)

No you can? WTF, you are so retarded.

rofl, this would technically be an advanced keygen of sorts and pretty much illegal.

Something like this would let one easily generate new keys.

Ideally, you should take your warezing elsewhere :D

I don't understand why you'd have MULTIPLE messed up keys. Sounds fishey to me.

Stop trying to scam MSFT and get a job?

You're an ass. I'm not trying to scam microsoft... How is it that I could *magically* have only one letter messed up in each of the keys....? It seems like the person typing in the keys screwed up and thought every Q or O was a G...!?!?! It'd be nice if they could fax it to me or something... Man this is frustrating.

The person at MSFT whos trying to verify the keys? Assuming they cant read your writing? Just type the fvckin keys, print them out, then send that. Problem solved.

You had to WRITE them in a specific form...

I have no idea what you're talking about.
Are you saying MS sent you a letter stateing that the product keys you use are invalid/stolen?

No, microsoft sent me a letter of all of the product keys they found to be invalid after I submitted them. So they wanted me to put the PID number instead, I don't have the PID number and so I need the correct key in order to convert it to the correct PID number first (with a program I do have). Now I need a program that can figure out what key(s) are incorrect etc...
Why did you send MS a list of product keys?

Because they found that they were "invalid" when in actuality, they're just incorrect on certain digits, therefore when they plug them into the computer, they're invalid. They're keys I sent in...

but WHY did you send them in?????/????

Haven't you heard about the classaction lawsuit against microsoft?
http://microsoftcalsettlement.com/

why would i if i don't live in california?

Not sure what all the fuss is about. He's not trying to validate keys, just find out which ones he submitted. That said, he should have written them down or actually still have the product ID sticker still. You're just asking for suspicion otherwise!

I think the answer lies in the link you sent. Call the claims admin @ 1-800-960-5660 - and ask them for guidance.

< $91 in my own states MS settlement, so I definitely don't think it's stupid to "send anything to MS".

Belarc Advisor is a program the retrieves all the product ID numbers/Keys on the computer being run on. If I tell the call center people who are likely using windows XP or some variant of a windows' operating system to do that, they'd be effectively giving me their Product Key and then I *Could* call back and tell them their codes as my codes but in reality, I doubt they'd run any third party software, I don't think they're that stupid, I'm sure microsoft has a list of all the product key #'s in computers they own and therefore I doubt I could pull their keys off as my own..

I assume you won't be able to understand what I just said because it seems everybody here is either high, retarded or stupid. It can only be those three choices..

Technical info on Product Activation from here: http://www.licenturion.com/xp/fully-licensed-wpa.txt

Thats for windows XP at least, most of these product keys are from operating systems like windows 95,NT 4.0, 98, ME, 2000... I've only got like two Windows XP keys since the cut off date is only a few months after XP was released...

Nice little software utility which finds your XP/Office keys.

Please, I don't want to be rude, but please read the thread next time. Yes it was already mentioned and yes I've already explained that I don't have the software installed anymore.
