There was a deal for a Dura-Ace 7700 9 speed Crankset with bottom Ultegra Bracket. It went for $50. I bid $49 in the last seconds. 🙁

Dang it. I really wanted to upgrade to that.

It was such a good deal though. Yeah, but in the last 4 seconds I bid $51. I just didn't hit confirm in time.

just set ur limit and stick to your guns. who is to say that the guy who won did not actually have a proxy bid of like.... $70.

edit - PR beat me to it.

How do you know he didn't bid $70 or something?

I laugh at people like you. When I bid, and I do often snipe, but I put in my limit. Not 1 dollar more. I see these petty bids at the end and laugh.

It didn't look like it on looking at the history. The bidding was quite random.

**EDIT**
And the guy only bid within the last 2 minutes.

The bid history only reports what ebay proxy bids for you. It doesn't show their maximum bid.

Basically he could have bid ANYTHING above your bid. You will never know. Could be he bid $1000. Unlikely, yes, but he could have. All ebay would show you is $50
