I received that, I always delete anything like that Paypal, Citibank, especially since I do not have a Citibank card.

outlook 2003's spam filter actually filters out the fraud ones. i thought it was pretty smart.

//krunk (^_^x)

I started getting some emails from Citibank (I do have a card). If those are fake, they are extremely well done. I don't dare clicking on any link from those emails, though.

Not only not a hot deal, but no bank or credit card company is ever going to email you asking you for information they already have. (If you even gave them your real email address)

lol, anyone besides me see the irony in this "fraud"

If they are verifying the email, why would they send an email....

Actually with citibank its safe to click on those links and give your information to strangers. They have that 0 liability program.

Here we go again. And those morons wonder why we don't like these stupid annoucements. Lets post every damn scam out there on the hot deals boards. That should only take the first couple hundred pages.

Got that email about a week ago too. Most of the time (99.9%), I can tell they're bogus.

If in doubt, call the company and ask a rep to find out if they really need to verify said info.

Ok, your post is a scam. 😀

Lighten up. It was for grins and giggles, in case you missed the obvious. And free grins and giggles are a hot deal any day.

This isn't a hot deal, f*cking idiot.

Wow, some people need to chill out. Do any of you think swearing does anything besides get you a permaban? The OP thought some people could fall for this (which they do)

Every reply made to a thread brings it back to the top (including this one). Here is a novel idea. DON'T POST IN THE THREAD AND IT WILL DROP. Geez, are you all from AOL or what?

Then don't be an idiot and post the actual working link to the scam.

Ok, guys, I've made my atonement here.
Now if you guys who have been so bitter would please post a hot deal some time in your life I would most surely laugh less at your discomfort with my humorous ( yes it was funny) post.
Thank You.
