Was having sympathy pains for you yesterday and early today. Was taking me up to 5 minutes to submit any posts (if they were successful). Now things seem to be back up to speed for me.

I thought thatsince they deleted MrBurns and my replies to him here about our problems with the speed of the site yesterday that they were indirectly telling us to fluff off and go away. I'll go to another section now just in case they were. Maybe if I move around the forums quickly they won't catch me!

The only lag I was (and still am) noticing is replying to threads, browsing seems to be fast enough.

Thats because you are waiting in the db queue to have your message inserted... takes time. That we are fine with, and that is normal with the db load as it is. When I/O is increased that should get better.

Monday and yesterday, there were a boatload of routers down, or nearly down, in several locations around the country. Most of them were alter.net or exodus.net. Seems to have cleared up today.
