There aren't cheap though, that cattery is charging between 400 and 650, with a 100 deposit. So far, most of the cattery sites I've visited have waiting lists, which may or may not have fees to get on the waiting list.

Beautiful animals though. I think I found a good use for my tax return. 🙂

They are neat cats. Definitely not shy animals.

Where did you get the kitten from? Breeder, pet store, news paper ad? Any links to good breeders or where to find good breeders? How much did you pay for the kitten? Whats the temperment of the F1 cat like?

$400 is not too bad for a pure breed. people paid more for dogs.

That's not much for a purebred cat, here's a $2K dollar cat: Spot

Ask the breeders for a "pet quality" cat, they're usually sold with a breed restriction & the breeders are happy to find home for them.

No sense in going for show quality unless you want to sit around in a gymnasium all day (If you can imagine the smell 1K litterboxes make, you'll want to avoid it at all costs)

this is her baby pic and she has grown a lot, but still she is not nearly that big.

I think those pics are slightly misleading, in that the cat is being held by a teenager in the right-hand pic, and the guy in the left-hand pic is holding it toward the camera.

The page says Bengals are between 5-15 pounds - my cat Vito is 17, and has no fat at all on him.

The Bengals really are beautiful animals IMO, and although I have had great experience with regular old tabbies (esp. Vito, who has extra toes, and fetches!), the Bengal is one cat I might actually consider paying for.

She also knows the meaning of different words and responds with different sounds... Milk, she goes to the fridge and makes a certain noise... dinnertime (canned food) she jumps on her eating spot and makes a different noise... byebye time, she runs to the door with a completely different noise... and bedtime... cookie time... whatever... she knows exactly where to go, and what will happen and she makes a different noise for each! I do find, however.. that if I do not take at least 10 minutes each day JUST FOR HER... she gets mean to the other cats...

What kind of temperment to they have?
Do do they make decent indoor cats or are they an outdoor kind of cat?
How much living space should one have for them, and how do they react to other cats?
How do they handle being alone during the day?
How loud are ther voices when they decide to use them?
What are the main differences between them and you common house cat?
How well do they react to other cats and dogs?

I've got a siameser. He's about 25 pounds (Which is normal for siams; they get portly after they're snipped).

Best cat I've ever owned. He's affectionate and SMART. He's a trickster. He manages to trick my parents into feeding him several times a day 😛

Yeah, my in-laws own savannahs (two F1s and an F3). They are much larger and much more annoying than bengals.

If you don't know what a savannah is, it's a mix between a domestic cat (usually a bengal) and an African serval.
