Dang Officemax rebates are shady

I bought a 100PK jewel cases from Officemax because it was FAR.

The week after 100PK promotion ended, the following week, I bought another one because they were offering new promotion for 50PK jewel cases FAR.

Today I get a postcard telling me that the $10 rebate was rejected for the 100PK because I asked for more then one rebate per household and only the $5 one is valid (which I send in after the $10 rebate)

Both promotions were on different weeks, but they used the same UPC code for both. What a load of crap. :|

 

Call 'em up...they might comp you this one as a 'courtesy.' It's happened to me before too...what address did you send it to?

call them up, I've never had a rebate problem, just tell them your situation with the truth, they'll handle it

How is the same UPC code is used for a 50 and 100 pack. The UPC codes are supposed to be unique.

Seems like that is your best leg to stand on.
You only asked for one rebate for the 100 pack and one rebate for the 50 pack. They were not the same rebates due to different items.

I bought a desk on sale for 79.99. The girl at the register said their was rebate, She printed the rebate reciept out, I got the officemax book of coupons , and sent it in. 8 weeks later I got a check for 79.99
Here is the crazy part. None of the numbers matched for the rebate, not even on the reciept. The desk was a good deal for 79.99, but for 0.00 it was a steal.

Just go to your local Officemax. Explain the situation and bring all your photocopies of your reciepts and rebate forms. They will give you the $$$ on the spot.

man, i havent recieved my rebates for black friday! i got half from kingston, but officemax flaked out on the whole thing...sucks
