So is the leaping as well, amazing they can maintain balance through all the moves.their bots have come a long way in just the last few years!
the crane kick stance at 1:40 is awesome haha
I searched OT with "robot" as key word and didn't see anything, guess I should have added "dancing" as well.
No need to be scared, these machines all run off batteries, if one went bad just hide until it's pack runs down. Robot on wheels is used in a factory setting, it's snout picks up boxes with suction and moves them to a different area.It was announced like 2 weeks ago that Hyundai is buying Boston Dynamics. Hyundai has the manufacturing capacity to build robots and machines. Should be interesting to see advances in robotics in the coming years when combined with advancement in software and AI. While the humanoid robots are super impressive, I'm also impressed with the snake head dog and that huge rolling ostrich robot. Robot on wheels will be very interesting and can be deployed at airports and other big indoor areas as service robots. Future is scary and exciting at the same time.
Agree, the real-time input from gyroscopes and other instruments all read and a correct output signal (s) generated to make these guys jump, crane, twist is just amazing.Pretty crazy how human-like they seem. This is like 10x harder to do than it looks. Humans and animals are very complex to try to emulate movement. So much is going on in your brain while doing simple tasks like walking in order to stay balanced and it's hard to emulate this on a machine.
