Was great to talk to you when you were at Dan C's. Hope to someday try that Vegemite over there in the land down under. Also nice to see just about everyone posting again, now where's Kilowatt? Speaking of RC5, the Camera crew wanted to film me at the computer here at home and had me pull up my Distributed.net stats page. I hadn't looked at that site since July 2001 and was surprised to see there is still computers somewhere out there crunching blocks. I have only fallen to 160 on the list after all this time.

Just found out that TechTV taped David Anderson, Director of SETI on Friday as well asking about his comments on Distributed Computing. No doubt that they will be tying his interview and the one we did on the same show.

Hey don't laugh maybe you will get to assimilate all machines at MS. It would be a directive from Bill himself and a Microsoft Distributed project such as farsite I bet though which is OK. It may just come true that you will simply click on the project that you would like a machine to work on while you are away from the computer in the very near future just like you click on what hokey graphics will be scrolling on your screen while away from the computer.

 
Well, having read some descriptions of what Vegemite actually is, I have to say it sounds terrible. 😱

Nonetheless, I shall try to find some locally so that I can at least report back on my own experiece with it. 😉

I tried vegemite a couple of years ago
an 'online girlfriend' I had in new zealand mailed it to me with some other stuff

it's NASTY! I took one bite and tossed it out, discusting!!! you people make me sick 😉
