Dan Elderkin
That man was born May 20th, 1981 to Debbie and Dave. He joined his brother born a year earlier on January 13th, 1980.
That man had a rich life. His hobbies included fishing and hockey. (Both Ice and Roller.) He was damn good at both. He even carried a fishing rod in his hockey bag. He was loved by his classmates, teammates, and most of all, by his brother. He got a job working for a title company. While he enjoyed working at this job, he aspired to become a Police Officer or a teacher. He regularly went back to his high school to give speeches on how he overcame many obstacles in his life. He was a roll model for the town, kids looked up to him; parent's wanted him to be their son.
He played Botchi ball with his brother, where he would come up with the most inane places to toss that little white ball. Like on top of a shed, or 400' out in the park. He bowled on a league even though he sucked at bowling. His brother used to give him tips to help improve his game so he could impress everyone; which he did when he broke 200 when his average was in the double digits.
In kindergarten he met Nikki. Ever since then, that man and Nikki were inseparable. Nikki became the daughter that Debbie and Dave never had. The only pictures of this man by himself after the age of 7 are school photos. Every other picture has Nikki in it somewhere.
On July 12th, 2003 Nikki and that man got married. It was a wondrous occasion that spanned a few towns. More than five hundred people were at the wedding and reception. His brother was his Best Man, and took great honor in it.
That man died on the 1 month anniversary of his wedding, August 12th.
That man was Daniel Ray Elderkin. My brother.
