The president removed Dan Coats days after his conversation with Zelenskiy and insisted that Coats’s deputy not get the job.

"Three days after his now infamous phone conversation with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Donald Trump abruptly fired his director of national intelligence in favour of an inexperienced political loyalist.

According to a New York Times report, the White House learned within days that the unorthodox call on 25 July with Zelenskiy had raised red flags among intelligence professionals and was likely to trigger an official complaint.

That timeline has raised new questions over the timing of the Trump’s dismissal by tweet of the director of national intelligence (DNI), Dan Coats, on 28 July and his insistence that the deputy DNI, Sue Gordon, a career intelligence professional, did not step into the role, even in an acting capacity."

^^^ Cliffs: Trump. :(

It's hard to ignore Trump's pattern of firing people in positions of high relevance to alleged wrongdoing by him and insistence in not following the chain of succession. Wait. Scratch that. It's hard to ignore if you actually have any desire to consider the possibility Trump could do something illegal.

Once the timeline is completely reconstructed, it will be quite obvious what happened with both the commission of the crime but more importantly the cover-up. Unless, this administration goes further into illegal obstruction, this should all come out. Trump, should be busily be weighing his options. Resign and face prosecution in NY or stay and drag down his administration into the sewer with all the persons involved. My guess is as usual, the rats will not go down with the sinking ship. This won't take long, as I've seen this act before. History will repeat itself.

An impeachment subpoena should answer that as everything is fair game then.

Perhaps his narcissism runs so deep that in order to avoid humiliation it will reach up from his unconscious and stop his heart.

Oh, yea, that's right, you think there is a god.
Not a matter of thinking. But I was just indulging in a bit of wishful thinking based, as far as I can see, purely on psychological factors, known, as in believed in, at least to me. Now if you want to argue that the hypothetical existence of psychological laws, like Karma, for example, imply the existence of transcendental truths, and that these in turn suggest something in the nature of the Supreme, than I think I can go along with that.

Otherwise, I do not see a relationship. nor would what I might claim by way of the existence of god be anything like what you might have in mind.

Meh he knows it’s impossible for the Senate to approve impeachment
He’s so narcissistic that he will never think he’s done something wrong. No chance the President resigns.

I’m pretty sure this was obvious once existence of the whistleblower complaint and Ukraine cal became public knowledge.

But this is also the least troubling of moves the White House made after the Zelenskiy call. I don’t think this even counts as obstruction given everything else that happened.

You forget Rick Wilson's Law: Everything Trump touches dies. If he can figure that out so can Republican Senators, eventually.

Let's hope that the Trump admin lawyers don't come up with more inventive theories about how he can't be touched.

Oh of course they will and then the courts will fast track this and likely refer to US vs. Nixon and hand them their ass. If they do not comply at that point they have violated the Constitution regarding two branches of govt. US Marshals then come into play or the impeachment proceeds based on the violation of the Constitution itself when denying the courts and then Congress based on the judiciary finding the Administration of Impeachment inquire investigations.

If that happens I believe the Reps, even Moscow Mitch will remove Trump.

I'm having fun imagining Trump being pulled from the Whitehouse like a little kid being drag away from the candy machine in the store by his parents, and shoved into a limo as his ass is sent home. Oops! Getting ahead of myself.

Easy Judge He/She is an Obama Voter! Why should I be bound to a decision that is very, very unfair. Nobody else would do what Judge he/she did.
People are saying he/she is a big donor to the Democrats.
