I just gave myself neupogen and it kicks in fast. I feel much alive and better :D

If I had done it in the morning I wouldn't have overslept :(

I'm not getting any responses so I'm going to paste this

What is Neupogen?
? Neupogen is a protein that stimulates the production of white blood cells. White blood cells are important for protecting the body from infection.
? Neupogen is used to increase white blood cells, and to decrease the risk of infection, in conditions such as cancer; bone marrow transplant; pre-chemotherapy blood cell collection; and severe chronic neutropenia including congenital neutropenia, cyclic neutropenia, and idiopathic neutropenia.
? Neupogen may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

I've decided to answer questions too. Cause i'm feeling good.

Yeah, but you get a feel good situation out of it.

The needle doesn't hurt just the cold injection gets pumped in.

the needle is 3/4 of an inch, punctured in subcutaneous areas (muscle)

Feel free to ask questions guys

Do you feel good because you have increased neutrophil production or is there some other reason we should know about? The first page of Google yielded no recreational uses...

An interesting wiki tid bit...
"Filgrastim(Neupogen) is a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) analog used to stimulate the proliferation and differentiation of granulocytes. It is produced by recombinant DNA technology. The gene for human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor is inserted into the genetic material of Escherichia coli. The G-CSF then produced by E. coli is only slightly different from G-CSF naturally made in humans."

Teeth implants will be possible in 1-2 years. I'm also doing fine with no fibula bone connected.

I read most of the page the OP linked, but understood little. i gleaned that it is produced by E Coli, and aids in the recovery of something that is depeleted by chemotherapy. is there a "Layman's Terms" explanation OP? it sounds very interesting...

I over exaggerated, it is because the rapid increase of white cells, I guess. It doesn't kick in as powerful as marijuana. But you do get that feeling of your whole body feeling more rejuvenated?

Is this the "garage cleaning" drug? You know, the one where people have so much energy that they end up cleaning their whole house? If so, our friend was on this for a while, and it really helped with his chemo. I don't think that he took it for the whole round of chemo. Anyway, he says that it really helped him get through things.

I've asked this question to my nurse before as my shots do say E. Coli. The drug/shot is a derived from E. Coli. I think that the shot uses most of the good properties of E. Coli to make my body boost white blood cells.

Going through chemotherapy is almost like having Aids. Your white cells are low and vulnerable to infections, ammonia, etc. Except people that do have Aids won't be able to recover normally or with shots like mine, because their immune system is pretty much a goner.

No, it is malignant. They took my fibula bone for facial reconstruction. That bone was fine.

No it is nothing like that. The way to describe it is that your whole body feels rejuvenated. It feels refreshed, because it doesn't do anything with your mind. When your whole body feels better then your brain will of course pick it up :p

But at first what did you go through when you got the diagnosis? When will you be "in the clear" with a minimal chance or nonexistent chance of remission? I ask because I wonder what it would be like to get a diagnosis.

Oh, it started out as a tooth ache (I've posted this before) and my front left lip was num because I bit myself by accident before. Because the tumor was pushed against my nerves and teeth. When to the local clinic dentist and their X-Rays weren't big enough as it is only for single/double teeth. When I went to the bigger hospital, it was most likely to be the wisdom tooth.

Anyways I believe they pulled out my wisdom and later on required pull out another one for a byopsey(spelling). Because they were concerned about my numness, it should have went away even though I bit myself?

Again, days goes by further with more appointments and etc. Again the dentist/ oral surgeons was a separate thing as it was a school also. They had a suspicion of a tumor at at the very beginning, but declined to inform my mom or me.

At first I thought they were doing a pretty craptacular job, because they weren't really sure on the situation. But they actually wanted to be very sure. They told my mom one or two days before hand about the situation(tumor) of the very confirmed appointment of the Pediatric Hematology Clinic.

Basically the guy that followed up on my situation, had to break the bad news. Since it was a school and such I guess he wasn't good at doing so. When he escorted me and my mom to the clinic, he informed me about tumor boards in the hospital and such. That the hematology will take care of me.

As we were walking to the clinic, he describing what a I had(tumor), he was very weary of what to say correctly. When all my sense came to what he meant. I said, " You mean like a tumor right?" He said "yeah" with a wth I do say next face or something. Then we just continued to walk and listen to his "comforting words"

At the Hematology clinic, they explained the situations in baby steps. But I amazed them because I knew what they were talking about and the whole tumor stuff. So a brief discussion continues about everything, with my mom sobbing.

I didn't feel much of a dying point when everything came to me. When I went home after that, I just continued to play games on the computer and browse ATOT:D

'Survival for localized disease is 65-70%', that's not bad, keep it up :)

One day not too long from now we will look back at our primitive cancer treatments. It should be real-time MRI feedback to a microwave gun, perhaps, a few minutes and you're done.
