I actually get bitched at, because I don't go to my appointments on time. Thanks. Only 2 more rounds to go.
But at first what did you go through when you got the diagnosis? When will you be "in the clear" with a minimal chance or nonexistent chance of remission? I ask because I wonder what it would be like to get a diagnosis.
Oh, it started out as a tooth ache (I've posted this before) and my front left lip was num because I bit myself by accident before. Because the tumor was pushed against my nerves and teeth. When to the local clinic dentist and their X-Rays weren't big enough as it is only for single/double teeth. When I went to the bigger hospital, it was most likely to be the wisdom tooth.
Anyways I believe they pulled out my wisdom and later on required pull out another one for a byopsey(spelling). Because they were concerned about my numness, it should have went away even though I bit myself?
Again, days goes by further with more appointments and etc. Again the dentist/ oral surgeons was a separate thing as it was a school also. They had a suspicion of a tumor at at the very beginning, but declined to inform my mom or me.
At first I thought they were doing a pretty craptacular job, because they weren't really sure on the situation. But they actually wanted to be very sure. They told my mom one or two days before hand about the situation(tumor) of the very confirmed appointment of the Pediatric Hematology Clinic.
Basically the guy that followed up on my situation, had to break the bad news. Since it was a school and such I guess he wasn't good at doing so. When he escorted me and my mom to the clinic, he informed me about tumor boards in the hospital and such. That the hematology will take care of me.
As we were walking to the clinic, he describing what a I had(tumor), he was very weary of what to say correctly. When all my sense came to what he meant. I said, " You mean like a tumor right?" He said "yeah" with a wth I do say next face or something. Then we just continued to walk and listen to his "comforting words"
At the Hematology clinic, they explained the situations in baby steps. But I amazed them because I knew what they were talking about and the whole tumor stuff. So a brief discussion continues about everything, with my mom sobbing.
I didn't feel much of a dying point when everything came to me. When I went home after that, I just continued to play games on the computer and browse ATOT
