$1.50 for parts is cheaper than replacing the whole hose most likely, and you also have the benifit of having reinforcement where it failed. Why did it spring a leak to begin with? Usually happans from rubbing against something. If you do replace the hose you may consider some solid pipe aroung where it failed to reduse the chances of this happaning again.

what you linked is much more than $1.50. Most regular DW hose is at most $1/ft and very easy to replace (should need no more than 6ft). I'm not quite sure of the type the OP has but the ones we sold were just plain black hose. No need to give it 4 connections instead of 2 with that fitting.

🙂 excuse me many appologies. $2.25 is the price for a 5/8" mender not 1.50. or if indeed he has 3/4 hose then 3.92. anyway, I will concede that one full hose is indeed better than a linked one. If you can get the, which it sounded like earlier was unavailable.

Epoxy resin?

You can get a tube for a couple bucks, just squeeze and mix then cover the hole. Had to fix my garbage disposal. Somehow it got a hole in the top part (under the sink) and would leak. Slapped some resin on it and huzzuh, good as new!
