One of my friends whom I had stopped closely assosciating with just put himself in a coma or is dead. OD'd on heroin. We told that kid to get it under control, but it looks like it never sank in. RIP Morgan.

I've had friends lose or ruin their lives with drugs.

I can never feel to bad though since it was obvious things weren't going to end up well.

I have a friend who has had serious problems with drugs, alcohol and money. I won't even talk to him now though. I don't need that kind of grief in my life...he's on his own.

I have two friends that are into drugs, and unfortunately the fact that they are good friends doesn't help the matter. Drugs are a tough thing, but having friends that struggle with substance abuse helps ensure I won't be heading down that road any time soon.

One of them does have a reason for drugs, though. I guess there is no good reason for drugs, but I can atleast sympathize with him. He saw his brother get hit by a SUV while skateboarding when he was about 10 years old. After the loss of one of her sons, my friend's mother went a little crazy and went on a vacation to a mental instution. She came back a religious person, who goes off on random things while drugged out on anti-depressants. His dad is a real asshole as far as I can tell, and could care less what his son does. My friend has bounced around, between his mother, father and even his aunt and uncle. He was sent to a boot camp in Utah, but all that accomplished was getting him beat up and pissing him off at his parents even more. He dropped out of school in freshman year of high school, and does nothing with his life. Hes going from weed and alcohol to shrooms and PCP. His current drug of choice is ecstacy. Hes 16.

Drugs fvck people up. Unfortunately, there really is no way to get to these people, logic just doesn't work. I came to grips with the fact that he will likely die, by suicide or by ODing, long ago.
