Should have bought that. THAT is geeky. And would have helped the economy more.

I figure a movie lasts 2 hours and will cost me and the wifey approximately 18 dollars not including food.
Some guy on that message board spent 15 hours building it.
Thus, me and the wifey COULD go see movies for 4 hours of time, or spend about 7-8 hours building this set.
Srsly, mister baked, doesn't getting stoned as fuck and building a 1200 piece tie fighter sound AWESOME? Because that's exactly what we're gonna do.

what happened to legos? they are now more of a model kit than a fun toy to spark your imagination.
I was thinking the same thing. When I was a kid playing with these, (late 80s) I never made the actual model it was designed for and parts were so non specific usually that it never mattered about mixing and matching. These new generation of legos look more like replications more then free thinking construction pieces.Originally posted by: pontifex

15 hours to put that set together?? It took me about 90 minutes to put that set together and I was watching a movie at the same time. If you separate out all the pieces by color before you start it takes no time to put a set like that together.
