I just got home from class and my wife was going to tape tonights episode. I set down to watch the tape and NO show!!!!!!!!!! AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! :(

I think I'm signing up for my cable co's DVR service tomorrow!

DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!!!! :(

EDIT: I'm not blaming my wife. I just tried to record something myself and it did not record. Double checked all connections, verifying everything was hooked up correctly and I could not get it to record either. DAMN!!!!

I just spent $200 for a WinTV-PVR 350 to keep stuff like that from ever happening.

I just checked with my cable company and they offer the service for 9.99 per month with no cost for the recorder. Anyone use Charters DVR service?

Bittorrent dude. All the way. It's in that undefined limbo area between legality and illegality, namely there's no law that specificly says it's either way. If you have a moral hangup that is. The torrent for the file came out more than an hour ahead of the West Coast airing.

By the way, Bittorrent isn't a P2P app, it's a protocol. It's not a virus, despite what the idiots at Best Buy will tell you. It's like installing an FTP client. Just make sure you get a reputable program, like ABC or Azureus.

BT is easily one of the most safe places to download stuff like that. They have these topsites and whatnot that have really strict regulations before stuff gets passed down, unless it's just a user's file that he uploads to a local site.
