It's like wikipedia sort of. You start reading about this plot device, then it mentions an old TV show that you'd almost forgotten, so you go there, then read that it used this technique, which is also used there...

it's funny as hell. look for tropes that relate very well to things you watch.


my personal favorites are:

the magnificient bastard (the best character type ever.)
large ham
xanatos gambit
30 xanatos pileup

it's like... if wikipedia had a sense of humor.
