My wife for some reason bought me a Hollister brand t-shirt and a couple pairs of their boxer-briefs. I usually take a large, so that's the size she got me.

I wore them to work today---they were a little snug at first, but I thought that's just because they're new. I swear these things are SHRINKING AS I WEAR THEM! I'm to the point that I feel like I'm wearing a wet suit! WTF are these things made off????? If it's a size large, MAKE IT A FREAKIN' LARGE!!!! My junk is packed so tight right now it hurts and I think my t-shirt looks like it's spray painted on. Help me!

I think hollister stuff is meant to be snug... THe shirts I bought from there, I bought my normal size, and they were regular t-shirts, but they seemed to be designed to act like muscle bound shirts..

I'm pretty sure that pics of your junk in boxer-briefs is listed in the forum rules as grounds for perma-ban.

BTW- all of my other clothes fit fine, so I don't think I'm packing any extra lard these days.

I wouldn't want to wear clothes with the brand slapped all over the place. I hate being a walking billboard.

Nonsense :p

Hollister stuff appears to be more "fitted" (read tight) in general than other brands. Though I only see two demographics wearing the stuff around here.

I really like Abercrombie and Hollister clothing. I could care less about the brand names as I tend to get the ones with generic lettering. Their clothes use much better cloth material than other brands and they fit me very well. More moola though but you get what you pay for. I prefer Hollister.

The problem with Hollister, AE, Aeropostale and the their ilk is that their clothes are meant for the skinny, metrosexual 18-25 year old group. Anyone who works out or has a little old age fat is going to have trouble fitting in their clothes.

true...I used to shop at those stores. I doubt they have anything that would fit me now. Also, I'm 25, I wouldn't be caught dead in most of that stuff now

Aw crap, I'm in my mid 30's. However, it is just underwear...she must have got a good deal. I think I'd like the briefs if they fit, but MAN, make the sizes right! You can't have "athletic fit" underwear!

Hollister brand t-shirt? Mid 30s? Abort!

I would guess their undies are shitty and overpriced, too. Get some hanes or something, ffs. Old fogy.

Did you know: Hollister was created by Abercrombie & Fitch in response to AF's targeted market (college - 30) complaining that the brand was being diluted by the fact that younger kids (read: their siblings in high school) were wearing Abercrombie. So they made Hollister, which is targeted towards high school minors. It is a lower price and qualtiy point.

Think about that next time you see anyone past 18 wearing Hollister, including married men.

I was looking at their website, and it's definately got a "I'm a college metro" feel to it. However, they seem to sell all adult sizes, so who knows.

Anyway, as stated, underwear and t-shirts should be universal (by t-shirt, I mean a white shirt that goes under a dress shirt).

I don't doubt that's true, but if that's the case, why do they have a seperate abercrombie (as opposed to Abercrombie and Fitch) store with kids sizes only? You'd figure if they were aiming at a specific demographic, that they wouldn't go and create a whole other store for the group they didn't want in the first place...I'm guessing abercrombie caters to the pre-teens? (I've only gone in there once looking for something for my friend's kid and it looked like stuff for kids from 7-12)

I went shopping at Hollister (didn't buy anything) a couple of times when I was 19-20, and at that age I felt too old for the store.

Did your wife buy you a nice outfit at Gap Kids as well? Are you surprised that their large didn't fit even though all your other large clothes fit? ;)

Not to mention that when I did shop there (in highschool) the place was crawling with prepster douchebags. I did like some of their button-up collard shirts though. Either way stick with Target for underpants. Hanes boxer briefs FTW.
