Good Job. You got the guy fired over a $1.

Not the point. I'd beat the sonofabitch to death for acting like that and stealing from me.
Dude, your huge ePenis just poked me in the eye. Control that thing!

Stop kneeling down in front of me!;)

The guy comes here, my gf answers the door, gives the guy the coupon and a $20 bill and she says "just give me $3 back." Thats a decent tip for the check, right? Well, the guy tells her "keep the coupon, here's $2" and he leaves.

She tells me what happens and I call Dominos. I tell the manager what happened and he starts apologizing, etc. I felt bad for complaining, Im really not that type, but this was just rude and if he pulled that with me I would have chased him down on foot.

I dont care about the dollar, I dont care about the wasted coupon I printed. It was just plain rude.

Just don't order from that place again, you will get a few extra toppings the next time you order from there

Dude was being greedy. When I delivered pizzas I would have been lucky to get $1 from that. It is good you complained.

How much did the coupon save you? If the coupon saves you more than $1, maybe he was trying to do you a favor by letting you keep the coupon for another use, in exchange for an extra $1 in tips?

Doesnt matter, he still got a $3.14 tip before he ripped them off.

the guy was a d1ck, figured he saw an easy score and ripped you off. The amount of money involved doesn't change that.

Way to put blame in the wrong place.

$1 says he knew what he was doing and does it on a regular basis, knowing most people won't fight over $1.

What he is doing, while nearly insignificant, is theft. No different than if MommysLittleMonster's girl would just grab the pizza, hand the guy 5 bucks and a coupon and say "There's your tip." as far as I'm concerned.

That's a funny mental image. Some guy beating a pizza dude to death while screaming about being ripped off for a dollar.

ok, call me stupid (no bets someone will..lol) but this doesnt make sense

pizza with coupon costs $13.86.....

girl gives pizza guy $20 and says just give back $3......

which means pizza guy makes $3.14 right?

that bit i understand....

what i dont understand because it wasnt mentioned is why he would say dont worry about coupon......how much did the coupon reduce pizza cost by? with a company like Dominos they would need the coupons back at the store so they can file them through accounts etc......if the pizza guy dont bring back the coupon then how does he make anything off this? even if the coupon only saved a dollar, that would make $14.86 that the pizza guy has to bring back to the store if no coupon in hand.....so add the $2 change to make $16.86 and he still only making $3.14 tip.......if the coupon was for any higher value then the pizza guy is losing out on the original tip offer if he refuses the coupon......ie if it was a $2 coupon, then he ends up with $2.14 tip......doesnt make sense

makes even less sense for you/your g/f, you paid out $18 for a pizza that a coupon meant only paying $13.86 for....ok you get to use the coupon next time, but you already an extra dollar out of pocket compared to what she was gonna pay incl tip, so coupon better be worth more than a dollar.....

sorry to make this more detailed than it needs to be, but it almost sounds farcical...lol

I've had many experiences where the pizza company didn't ask for the coupon (Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Lamppost).

I guess they a bit stricter over here in the UK on it then...lol......if u dont have the voucher/coupon then u dont get the discount, at least not in my experience...heh
(however, if you get stuck with a fake banknote, they are the easiest way to get rid of it..lol)

There was a deal online. Any medium pizza with 3 toppings for $9.99. That and a 2 liter of soda came to $13 and some change. I didnt think we had to print the coupon out, usually we dont, but when we called and placed the order, they asked us to.
