computer crashed, need to reinstall everything and now i cant find out the drivers for my motherboard..damn you intel/msi/windows....whoever caused this, damn you i say
 
its an msi motherboard but i dont know which one and the website lists tens of drivers......why isn't there just one generic motherboard driver like intel?

Well herein lies your troubles young padawan. Doesn't CPU-Z list stuff like chipsets and the like?
 
Download this, or if that link doesn't work, go here and download the version 1.27 towards the bottom of the page. Unzip it, run the cpuz application, and click on the mainboard tab at the top. Hopefully, it will tell you your model and/or chipset.

Well herein lies your troubles young padawan. Doesn't CPU-Z list stuff like chipsets and the like?

Great Idea. Just check Cpu-z and it should tell you the chipset, but only if the drivers are already installed.

did you try unistalling the drivers for the mobo and then reinstalling them again
