I hardly ever use my Amex (green one) card.. and today I happened to check my account .. only to find it 18$ overdue and the account frozen.. what the heck.. it would have been embarassing if I tried using the card and it was denied.

Since I never get a bill from amex (basically I get one saying 0.00 due) I disregarded it. Now I did sign up for a "credit protection thing" but they didnt send me a peice of paper saying you need to sign this.. and send it back. I never got it.. so how the heck did they charge me 18 bucks..

oh well tommorow Amex has some explaining to do.

Oh by the way you know the funny part I thought i had signed up with Discover for the credit protection.. and yes I did.. with them too.. (how stupid of me.. two places for credit protection).. but they too didnt send me the paper work.... Both Amex and Discover are going to have their ass chewed out tommorowo. Yes it was my fault that I signed up with both, but who the heck is keeping track. I thought I signed up with discover only.. but apparently not.

Oh well.. time to clean things out once for all.

PS: I was to get a credit report check from both companies.. what the fsck I didnt get that either.

another weird amex story:

mom tells me the bill's due the 31st. i pay them over the phone on the 26th. everythings squared away, right? nope. bill was due the 24th. 2 weeks and $80 in late fees and finance charges later, i get the OVERDUE: PAYMENT DUE notice.

mom says: "every cc company lets a late/finance charge slide once. i wont pay the $80"
me:"yeah right, i wanna see that"

2 days later, she spends 30 seconds on the phone with amex and gets them to eat the charges.

i couldnt fvcking believe it

You know My verizon card (its a first card I think or is it an MBNA.. not sure but some major bank) didnt let me slide.. even though they made the mistake. They sent me the bill and I couldnt pay it cause I didnt have the new card. The problem started with me getting upgrade to Platinum, and thanks to that I get a new number. SO my old bill gets transferred to the new one (well old cards unbilled transactions) and then they bill me. However I get the bill but not the card. SO I cant freaking pay my bill cause the card isnt active.

Finally I screamed at the Customer Service person to think.. and finally she let said okay.. she will give me until next month to pay the bill. 2 weeks later my card arrives. I pay the bill in full.. even though I noticed the next month I get a Late fee. I think they did cancell that later.. I emailed them about it.

What a bunch of jerks.
