I find it funny that if you go to Google and type in "Lincoln LLS" you get many an article relating to this one.

Edit: Also, don't they mean LS? I've never heard of an LLS before...that's probably the reason the Google results all link to articles like that one.

How did the cop catch him? Assuming the cop was stopped on the side of the road using his radar, he would have had to get on the road, get UP TO THAT speed to pace him, and then go faster than that to make up the ground he lost while he was getting up to the same speed. Something doesnt soudn right about the cop's story.

ontario has some law... if you exceed the limit by x amount, or percent, i forget, you are "racing".

no just love speed. I don't weave nor blow down anything close to residential at above the limits.

Highest ticket was a 127 in a 55.

The 1997 VW GTI VR6 I had at the time was more race car than VW.

239km/h (148.5mph)?? With four passengers?? That boggles the mind. Lucky he did not kill anyone.

In a well tuned car 148.5mph is not too much of a drive.

I was in a three car convoy at 145 in light rain heading out to moroso one weekend.

Yeah but it also takes a bit of experience as well, something I doubt a kid that young has.

I don't know...modern cars on the highway can track pretty straight at top speeds...all one would need to know is stopping distance.

I know quite a few that aren't even 20 yet and can drive with many of the best.

Thing is it's all speculation...this kid hurt no one.

I would have never thought an 8yo Lincoln LS could do 150 with a full load. V8 I assume. Still impressive.

Last I checked, standard police cruisers are usually supercharged V8 and well capable of catching a car doing 150. I was in a police cruiser that went from about 30 to 130 in very short time (maybe around 10 seconds? idk). He probably radio'd ahead though.
