Damn. That was too quick for $20.

I agree, I thought it was a great game, although too short. That was no problem though since it only cost me $8.

Oblivion is the top value for money game of 2006, I've put in about 150 hours and am not finished yet, though I'm winding down.

People with OCD can easily spend 300 hours completing every optional bit even before adding mods.

yeap i have 160hours into the game myself. still have a good portion of the continant to explore.

but i agree with everyone that HL2 ep1 was way to fricken short. im just glad i got it for $15.

if ep2 is not at least 6hours i wont bother. well at least until its like $5 to buy im sick of spending $50 for a game that last 2-4 hours

Yep... And Don't forget (SPOILERS):

That part at the end... FFS they make me run around to bring groups of people, and not only that, but I have to bring 12 people in 4 groups! (4,4,2,2), not only did that part suck big time and was just a way for Valve to make the game 10 minutes longer, it was also annoying as hell, and the fact that you need to move two groups of 2 people is just stupid...

I loved Episode 1, even though it was extremely short. Half life 2 is the greatest game I've ever played, I can't wait until episode 2 comes out.

I have a question about the continuity though: are these three "episodes" what we're getting in place of HL3? If so, shouldn't they be called HL3: episode 1, 2, 3? Or are they just HL2: continued? In that case, will we get a full HL3 game after these three little ones?

I think they're done coming out with big releases. I don't think they can really be working on HL3 and these episodes at the same time. I believe these eps are prefixed with HL2 instead of HL3 because they're more of a continuation of the second story and not beginning a third. Eventually though I'm sure the story will take a major turn at which point they'll begin calling it HL3, perhaps.

I enjoyed it, took me about 4 hours and I think it was worth $15 or whatever I paid. The set piece battles were pretty good.

Yep, it was really fun and kept me wanting more. I had to pace myself so I wouldn't beat it too fast.

5. Did you play it loud enough to piss off your neighbors and start a potential gang war?

Loved HL1, thought HL2 was too short and boring. I paid $18 for HL2 pack with the t-shirt at CC and I still feel I didn't get my money's worth. I'll probably wait for all of the episodes to be collected and released on one of those "collected editions" once it drops to $20 (for all of them, not just one episode).

Bought it for $14.99 at BestBuy, $16.12 after tax. Sold it for $12 right after I beat it. Wasn't really even worth the $5 it cost after fees.
