Wow, anyone else feel that? Scared the hell out of me. I know it's 2am and most people are asleep, but im sure this woke up quite a few of you...

I did not feel it while sleeping in the San Fernando Valley.

Ironically, I just installed earthquake straps on most of my big furniture last night. I finished right before I went to bed.

i wanna be by an earthquake once in my lifetime. dont want to be near any buildings though, just wanna frolic in open plains while a 7.4 goes off and lasts 20min. and i dont get hurt.

I don't think they last 20 min. Anything longer than a minute of actual shaking is pretty freaking long. I think northridge was less than that.

I was in a 7.9 a few years ago... 2002 IIRC. It lasted about a minute. Trust me, it's not as fun as it sounds.
