Just got a call from my mom at 4:30am, sister is missing. She was out with her friend and at 1am called and said she was at some coffee shop and on her way home. Now it's almost 5 and no word. My mom and the other girls parents are worried sick and they just called the police. Both my sister's and her friend's cellphones are dead (as in out of batteries)...they mentioned this when they left.

Now they've gotten in sh!t for staying out late before but the latest was 2am and she really got in trouble. I don't see why she'd still be out there at almost 5am knowing the incredible crap she's going to be in...... she's 16 by the way.

I don't know whether to be worried or pissed or both.

At least she won't exactly be out and about in gangland central there in KW.
She's probably sleeping over at someone's house (willingly).
 
im sure shes okay, i remember this happen a couple of times to my brother be4 in his days. wouldnt come back all night and wouldnt let my parents know a thing

That's the thing...she was having this friend over to our place to sleep over tonight! I'm not at home in kitchener, I was staying in toronto until today and then going home this afternoon for spring break.
 
BTW the other girl's dad has checked every 24hr tim horton's in the city as well as other 24hr places before they decided to call the cops. My mom stayed in because this is supposed to be where they were headed.

Also, the other girl lied to her parents. she called them around 1am also and said she was like 2 minutes away from our place. My sister called at the same time but said they were at a tim horton's coffee shop and heading home soon. My sister's phone ran out of batteries mid-conversation with my mom.

maybe their just cruising around..or just at some 24 hour resaurant chilling...
i remember in high school we did that..just go out and guess our parents were worried sick. but then we were guys...

never really had that problem w/ my sisters, but then again, i'm not sure my parents would tell me, since i'm up at school. anyways, what time is the coffee shop she was at open to? have your parents called the friends she was supposed to be out with? i'm sure those girls parents would want to know and all. i hope everything works out, and use this over her for along time🙂😉

just knwo it was a tim horton's, and i believe there's only a few 24 hour ones. the other girl's father already checked them all. this girl is the one with the car by the way. he parents are way more strict..this girl is not going to be able to use the car for at least 6 months now, and i can see what my mom would be doing too. pretty much all privelages will be gone for a long time. however she's not really concerned with that now...just wants her home :\
 
I don't suppose you guys knew what they planned on doing... because there are also
several 24hr Tim Horton's along the 401 between Woodstock and Toronto.

Just got another call...no word yet. Can the police call her cellphone company and see what numbers she called tonight? Or do they have to wait a long time before she's considered a missing person to be able to do any of that stuff? She's probably out with the wrong people....I KNEW this other girl was trouble. just get those feelings
 
You have to wait 24 hours to file a missing persons report with the cops, unless there is something is suspicious regarding the disappearance.
 
AlastorX82 - that was very uncalled for.

Hope everything turns out OK. I know it will. Your sister is going to be taught a huge lesson from this and she'll carry that with her for the rest of her life. Too bad it's at you and your parent's emotional expense 🙁
