Like I said before, my company depended on American Airlines for its survival and since AA is cutting it's workforce by like 20%, my company has to cut it's workforce by 25%.

Unfortunately, I was included in the 25%. The reporters weren't kidding when they said that the attacks would change everyone's lives.

I really liked that job

<sigh:mad:

Sorry to say, but I think your story will become pretty common in the next month or so. :(

if it's any indication, 400 people at my company were laid off. This company is just one of the hundreds that depends on the airline industry for survival. I just hope my dad doesn't also lose his job

That sucks, man. Hey, someone posted this the other day, but the FAA has a bunch of job openings now for Federal Air Marshals. Just trying to help...

Bummer bro. That has to suck. I'm looking for a job right now and the attacks are probably going to have an effect on the job opening market as well.

sorry to hear that SP; hopefully you can turn this around into something positive... sometimes the positions that we are in are not the best possible ones for ourselves, but we are unable to leave them in search of something better because we're afraid of losing security. well, now you haven't got a choice but you DO have an opportunity. i know you said you liked the job, but don't dwell on that; here's your chance to do what some people will never be able to bring themselves to try. go for it!

goodluck!
