Damn...knock down drag out robbery attempt

Happened locally in my shit hole town. There is a reason I never go to banks. If I want cashback even I'll go a Target or something and buy a pack of gum and ask for cashback at the register.

She was stupid for holding onto the money, but that guy who helped her has a set on him. I'm not sure if they know each other, but regardless I'm not sure I'd do the same for a stranger.

She went inside the bank to get the cash. She owns a check cashing business.

It's still stands for Automatic Teller Machine? That article needs some help...

When I worked for a tattoo shop my boss would always carry a gun on her when she was transporting money out of the shop every night. There were times where she'd be carrying $20k for one days worth. That's a lot if cash. I didn't do the tattoos. Just worked the counter.

With this video, I'm suprised that she didn't let go. You'd think the money was insured because it was so much.

WHAT FUCKING ATM GIVES YOU SEVENTY FIVE GOD DAMN THOUSAND DOLLARS?

None. Whenever you see a news article from "THE DAILY MAIL" google the news story to find a non sensationalized source and read that one. DO NOT read THE DAILY MAIL

THE DAILY MAIL is one of the most quoted sources of news on the internet and they have earned that distinction by FUCKING UP every story.

I was wondering if the editorial decision to say "ATM" was due to it being a better choice for a snappier headline, but no, the headline could have read "from bank" just as well, and even throughout the article the author swaps between "bank" and "ATM". Considering that even in the UK, ATMs have a typical limit of about £250 per withdrawal plus a daily limit that's not far off that figure either, it's not ignorance/confusion at work either, I think it's just that the Daily Mail loves to breed fear, especially of all things foreign/new-fangled. People getting scammed at ATMs with card skimmers / cameras is hardly a new thing, so I think they wanted to latch on to that. Even the skipping back and forth between 'bank' and 'ATM' becomes plausible (they even mislabelled their own video to suggest that the person was at the ATM when they were robbed when clearly they weren't) when taking my theory into account, because that too sews confusion.

That bank is going to pay millions for hiring a person with a criminal record who then tipped off her accomplices.

... The girl working @ the bank had a criminal record?

Wow that is beyond stupid. Previously I wouldn't have placed blame on the bank, but now I will definitely shift part of it to them.

That company's services would probably cost you a more $ than the $75k is worth...

Naw, it wouldn't cost nearly that much. Probably a few hundred bucks to a grand tops, depending on what their margins are that might eat into their profits too much though.

Banks will usually send an armored car to pick up money to be deposited for free. I'm sure there is some minimum figure but I'd think that $75,000 would be plenty. If they run a check cashing place they probably don't have much money coming in though.
