So my first car, a 1993 celica GTS, purchased on tuesday night has been parked in my driveway while I got tags and insurance. Today in the afternoon as I was going for a drive I noticed a crack in the windshield. I can swear that it wasn't there in the morning when I was washing the car.

I can't believe the windshield is cracked even before I got to drive it and I can't figure out how it could've happened.
The car has been parked in the driveway facing the house so it couldn't have been the cars driving by.

Any explaination or suggestions on repair options?
 
little chip that cracked under the sun? that happened to me once but that was during the summer here...

we got it replaced for $120... its not the factory windshield anymore but works nontheless.
