Yeah, anyone who thinks it's bad in their state should look at Virginia. $1,000 - $3,000 per ticket.

Are you really serious? Almost makes me feel honored to live in North Dakota. 😉
Is it safe to assume the drivers in Virginia are tame and 'slow'? Follow the speed limits carefully? (I've never been to the state)

The simple solution is not to speed. If you do the math on how much time you save by doing 80 instead of 60 on most trips it's only a couple of minutes. Really, is knocking 2 minutes off the trip worth the thousands that a speeding ticket costs in long term insurance premium hikes?

It shouldn't be reported since I have an out of state license and I am about to be issued a new one in a different state.

It's a combination of my car and the fact that I am driving I-40 from West Texas to Oklahoma City. There is not a damn thing in between besides Highway Patrol.

No it's a combination of you and your lack of control.
