..at 5pm, when I pick my wife up from work. :(

Here's the story.

She kept doing the "5 more minutes" thing this morning, so we left late. She is in training for her new job and has missed 1 day already. One more tardy or missed day during training and they'll fire her.

So, I bust my ass to get her to work on time (breaking several traffice laws in the process.) We pull into the parking lot with 5 minutes to go. In that 5 minutes she has to get inside and get logged into her computer. So, I pull up and what do you think happens?? She starts mugging on me! Hugging, kissing, you know, normal married couple stuff. I, on the other hand, push her away (big mistake #1) and say, "Go!" (big mistake #2). Oooh, the look I got as she got out of the car.....

Needless to say. It's going to be a LOOONNNGG ride home. :(

Oh boy do I feel bad for you...

Just try as best you can to get her to listen to reason, and understand why you had to do what you did! Good luck, and I hope your couch is comfy :)

Well, she dosen't appear responsable enough for the job, might as well let her get canned and let her get a job that fits her better.

This is a phone support job for a credit card. It's right up her alley (customer service). They thought highly enough of her that they hired her at the top entry pay level $14.75/hr. These strict rules are only during training, although they are totally inflexible with tardiness. 1 minuet late and you're counted as tardy (never really understood that).

She bust her ass for a person who is in constant pain from her headaches. Wish she didn't have to work, but with the way she spends money, we can't afford it. :)

If she chould get rid of her headaches, she wouldn't have a problem.

The reason people often sabatoge their own success is that they don't feel they deserve it. Being successful can bring up all kinds of feelings of guilt, remourse, etc. Screwing up is like an affermation of the feeling of being worthless that got taggede on us when we were small, and growing up tends to reawaken memories. That can also be the source of the headaches. It's guite normal to poopoo people's insecurities and encourage them to believe in themselves. That's OK, we aren't trained to do much more, but maybe if your wife shows some signs that she's not sure about the new job, you can listen and not offer a typical don't worry response, but give her room to maybe voice any feelings she may be having. What I'm saying is that ordinarily, we don't allow each other to explore our self doubts because they bring up ours. At the same time, by not bringing them up, they continue to operate in the dark.

Thought I'd mention this in case it means anything to you.

If she is pissed at you, then she is obviously completely irresponsible.

Awww. Well just explain to her why you were urging her to hurry and then take her out to a wonderful dinner. :)

BTW, I hope her headaches are soon a thing of the past.

Thanks, Moonbeam. That is very insightful and plausible.

We have pinpointed the cause of the migraines, tho. They are due to Occipital Neuralgia. The trouble is that we haven't found a treatment that works, yet. :)

Az- That's another thing on her mind as well. We were going to go out to a movie and dinner yesterday, but she wasn't feeling up to it. She felt really bad. :(
