Sushi Roku in Beverly Hills

The most I ever paid for a Sushi dinner was around $75 but that included copious amounts of Sake. Of course that was back in the early 90's. These days with all the Specialty Sakes out there you can drop $50 alone just on the rice wine.
Which ironically is losing out to beer and whiskey among the young in it's native land.

Well the hangovers from sake are much worse than beer and whiskey.

wow you guys spend a lot on sushi...
i always go all you can eat!

Quality > Quantity.

if you go to the right place you can get both

That's what you would like to believe. But try eating at a quality place and then tell yourself that.

Anyways, is that for one person? If so, that's A LOT. I spent $140 on sushi for 2 and i thought that was insane.

I see your point

If you're ever in the area, visit Robson Sushi in Vancouver, BC... I'd be curious to know what people think of it. I've heard good things, and it's inexpensive for all you can eat at the right times

100$ yea thats about how much i woudl have to spend to become full at a sushi plac, soooo good just sooo non filling

a good majority of it is served raw.

but there are some cooked ones, yeah

Pfft, give me a $5 cheeseburger or a PB&J and I'll be happy. I could never spend so much money on one meal, unless it was buying me into the pants of some supermodel. Although I guess supermodels wouldn't really be eating.
I'm a "meat and potatos" guy, I eat to survive and no more.

It's sashimi quality fish... it's not the same as the fish that's been sitting out for a couple of days at your supermarket.

And it's more than raw salmon.

The thought of eating raw fish is gross.

I'm with this guy, how could you drop $100 on that crap? WTF are we, polar bears? I prefer to cook the food I put in my body to kill those germs and other bad things, not to mention the amount of mercury some of those fish have in them.. it boogles my mind how people can enjoy it really.

I'm the opposite. Eating is something highly enjoyable for me, and i love to dine out. I'll rather eat a $30 steak than a $5 steak anytime. Why do something boring when for a little extra money, you can have a highly enjoyable experience.

A man that'll happily suck down a $100 worth of raw fish will most likely eat anything 😛
