It's good to not live in CA where the price is like $2.09 eh? Regular unleaded is $1.55 on average here.

Buy some stock shares in the oil companies. That way when the price of gas starts to rise, so will the price of the stock that you own and you won't be as affected by the price of gas.

What good does it do?

If you drive you need gas....

I'm sorry court jester, but some of us here don't have armani suits, gold buckles, and diamond shoes like you...

rather, starving scholars like me barely make it by with our wifebeaters, rope, and 5 year old nikes.

Jesus, just cut back on one or two lattes a week and you'll have the price difference covered.

You guys make it sound like we're taking out second mortgages to fill up at Chevron.

Dude I'm a BICYCLE MECHANIC and don't own a car newer than a 1982 junker (also a 1962 and a 1972 junker).

It's like worring about the price of smokes. If you smoke, you WILL pay what the going rate is. End of story.

a few years back, when i was still living in europe, gas prices were about 1.29 euro / liter

multiply that by 4 for a gallon and you got a little more than 5 bucks a gallon for gas....dont complain!

This is why I love getting 31 mpg in my Corolla.

This past weekend I had to travel awhile on a state road going around 60-65, rounded out among the state road, interstate, and city driving I got 36 mpg.

I don't need a car to drive, you know what I'm saying baby!? ;)

But alas, I do...and I hate the fluctuating gas prices.

Ever since I saw the gas prices and size of cars in London, I'm quite happy with my roomy Sentra and $2/gallon gas.

atleast this will persuade people from buying 5 mpg hummers, h2's and various other SUV's. All of which I'm against...

Brings to mind that WWJD thing (what would Jesus Drive) :)

I hope I don't spark another Passion thread ;)

It just rose to about $1.70 for 87 here. I'm pretty happy because when I do drive long distances, I get reimbursed by my employer. I'd like to thank the west coast for raising my mileage reimbursement. :)

damn why did that thing get stolen? It didnt looked too souped up on the outside plus old mustangs arent particularily on the most desired/stolen list

1.85 here btw for 93 octane

yeah but they and just about any 80's/early 90's american car can be stolen with nothing but a screwdriver. or so i've read (i think car and driver did an article on this).

No it won't. If you can afford any of those vehicles who cares how much gas is?!
