My fence was tagged (spraypainted) last winter. Got that taken care of and late this last week my fence was tagged AGAIN, by the same MOFO. So the next day I go and get some chemicals to attemt to take it off and that night someone else tagged it right next to the first one.:|:|

And to top it all of the chemical removers are not working. I mean they work somewhat, but after 1.5 hours of scrubbing and over $15 in chemical remover you can still see the one letter I was working on.:|

*sigh* It is going to be cheaper to just replace fourty 1"x6"x8' planks. Problem is they will probably just do it again.:|

Sit outside with a paintball gun and around 500 frozen paintballs. That'll teach them.

Can't you buy 5 gallons of paint and paint over it with the same paint each time?
PITA, but you can't legally shoot them.

Sander or Powerwasher.

I may just try that. But a pressurewasher on green treated lumber is no good from what I have been told. It damages the wood.

I will go and take some pics now.

Sharpies? Spray paint was specifically mentioned.

Oklahoma has a "make my day law" if someone is entering your house and you fear for your life you have the right to shoot them. If you have an enclosed backyard and you happened to fall asleep back there... You wake up and see someone climbing over the fence toward you... Well you just shot poorly and hit the guy helping the other over the fence.

Just an nice idea, I would not do it in real life.

Since you have a natural finish, there's not much you can do. A pressure washer may help if it's not enamel, but you'd have to do the whole fence or it would stand out.

The problem is the person is doing it on the outside of the fence.

Yeah, I hear ya. I have just been told that it will actuall damage the wood (high pressure).:( And I was getting ready to stain and seal the entire fence this summer.

If you park down the street* and call the police when they are in the act, it will send a message to all the others not to do the same. Give them the choice of doing time or paying to repair fence.

*or install a motion sensor that alerts you

Before we put our house up for sale, I pressure washed the fence. 1500 PSI and no damage to the cedar. I can't guarantee the same results on your fence.

The same taggers nailed a new cedar fence 4 blocks away. He will be able to pressure wash because he has cedar. Pressure treated limber (i.e. yellow pine and the like) are much softer.:(

I may try pressure washing and if need be flip the planks around. That will leave 3 big stringer marks facing outwards, but at least that is an option. That and hooking up some 220V electric fence at knee level hooked up to a motion detector.:p
