I got a free month mail promo disc so I tried it out and I simply did not like it as compared to paypal shipping. I hate how these companies try o badger you into staying to the point where you have to get rude with them to finally listen.[/blog]

Easy. Try and talk your way out of freecreditreports.com and get some perspective on how bad it really can get. Stamps.com was one of the easiest I've ever dealt with.

No kidding! My wife decided to sign both of us up for that last year during a particularly tight month without telling me. Next thing I knew, I had money being withdrawn to pay for their little dues. I was on the phone for 20+ minutes explaining to them that I didn't need or want their service and stressed the fact that I did not give my permission to give them any access to my information.

Apparently, that last little bit didn't do anything to faze the girl anyway. She kept trying to sell me on their "benefits".

If you have a way to record your phone calls, just hit record, say "My name is Xxxx, what's your name? I'm informing you of my desire to cancel my account as of today xx/xx/xxxx. Please do so immediately." Then just hang up. You have your proof that you asked them to cancel. If they don't do it and trr to bill you, you can just play them your recording.
