Damn, bought another BBQ grill

Just added another grill to the collection. Weber Genesis S-330. I had no intention of buying but found a deal I couldn't refuse. Thank you Slickdeals!

I now own five:

1. Nexgrill tabletop gas grill
2. Lodge cast iron sportsman's charcoal grill
3. Weber 22.5" One-Touch charcoal grill
4. Weber 18.5" Smokey Mountain smoker
5. Weber Genesis S-330 propane grill

It looks like the two Webers that you owned previously are both charcoal grills.

And while they are both very good at what they do, you will find your Weber Gas Grill to be an entirely different experience.

If you can, I'd strongly recommend getting a gas grill cook book, or two, to go along with your new purchase.

You are going to love your new grill!

Congratulations
Uno

I got an Green E-330 back in June for around $715.00 and thought I got a great deal, $540.00 is incredible for a grill listing at $799.00.

E-330 has MSRP of $949 but typically can be found for $799 or less. S-330 has MSRP of $1,099 and is typically found for $949. The reason for the difference in price is because of the stainless steel. The S330 has 7mm stainless steel grills, the E-330 has porcelain enameled cast iron grills. Flavorizer bars-the Weber Genesis S-330 has stainless steel flavorizer bars, the Weber Genesis E-330 has porcelain enameled bars. Shroud and doors-stainless shroud and doors on the S-310, porcelain enameled shroud and doors on the E-310. The warranty on stainless steel grill grate and flavorizer bars is 5 years. The warranty on porcelain enameled cast iron grill grate is 3 years and 2 years on porcelain enameled flavorizer bars. You can convert the E-330 to same stainless steel grates and flavorizer bars but it'll cost you ~$200. I wanted stainless steel internals as it will last longer and is easier to clean and maintain.

I absolutely love the grill. It cooks so evenly and fast. I still love my charcoal grills but there's nothing like the convenience of gas.

Its pointless to have 5 grills.

Are you a horder?

You're 16 and still a boy. What do you know about grills and food? Man grill. Different tools have different use. Grill is a tool and each serve different purpose. Grilling is a hobby for lot of people.

Look at the EP-330 SE. That's what I have. It's only available at certain retailers (like Ace Hardware). It's got stainless steel grates, burners, and flavorizer bars. I paid about $600 for mine (Natural gas which is more expensive). It's a really interesting combo between the S-330 and E-330.

They actually each serve a different purpose.

1. Nexgrill tabletop gas grill
2. Lodge cast iron sportsman's charcoal grill
3. Weber 22.5" One-Touch charcoal grill
4. Weber 18.5" Smokey Mountain smoker
5. Weber Genesis S-330 propane grill

1&2 are portable, one charcoal one propane. 3&5 are for the home, again one charcoal one propane. And #3 the smoker doesn't really count as a grill in my book.

I also have 3 grills. 2 full size grills that stay home, charcoal and propane. And a portable charcoal grill. I had a portable propane that was a POS which rusted out and needed to be thrown away. I'd like to get a smoker at some point too.

My GF likes to use the gas grill when I'm not around, its not worth firing up a load of charcoal for one person. Also in the winter, its just far easier to grill with propane.

EP is what I really wanted. It's like best of both between the E and the S model, stainless internals and painted external. But like you said, only certain retailers carry it and I couldn't pass up the deal on the S-330. I don't really care about SS externals. Weber switched to cheap Chinese SS in 2008 when stainless steel prices basically doubled overnight. So it's not going to last like the old thicker external US made SS of older Webers. It does look good though. It has the same 25 yr warranty like the older Weber but Im not confident it'll last that long.

I just got a gas grill off my brother but haven't got a propane tank yet.

I had no idea there was a grill enthusiasts scene on the internet. What is the best place to find that information about the best grill models?

Not bad. Usually sells for $949. You got for 43% off, was it NIB or display? :awe:
