Mebbe. But if I had to stay on all the time, then probably no unless there was a very compelling reason for it.

Hmmm....Will we be putting two of every species on this boat? And will the situation pertain to a rain storm for not less than 40 days and not longer than 40 nights???

hell no, that's a disaster waiting to happen. if it doesnt sink or crash into something, it will break down in the middle of nowhere or some nut cases will try to blow it up.......

I can hear the headlines now

"While trying to dock in the Port of Miami, the Freedom Ship performed a 3 point turn in which the countries of cuba and haiti were mistakenly hit."

Not like it would be hard, it'd be a sitting duck + a prime target = bad combination.

It would have to have a fighter + sub escort everywhere.

1 mile long, 750 feet wide, 25 stories tall and built on flatbottom barges. How would that thing handle high seas?

no way would I get on that for a voyage.

I wonder whats the draft & how she would do in rough seas? Especially if broadsided by a big rogue wave.

edit I saw the video and don't buy it. It wasn't realistic, IMHO.

Was this the ship where they wanted to have several "daughter" ships that in themselves would be some of the largest in the world?

And, damn, 25 stories tall. :Q

I think I'd rather live on the San Andreas Fault. I have to wonder what the torsional rigidity of that ship is. Something that long seems as though it would twist fairly easily. A good sized rogue wave hitting only one end of the ship could cause some problems I think.

what video?

sorry, its not really a video but on the discovery site there is an animated simulation of a big wave hitting the bow at about 2 o'clock.

Wow, so all that electricity is gonna need to come from somewhere... if this thing is nuke-powered :Q
Can we say "terrorist-bait"?

<< Damn! That's the second-biggest ship I've ever seen! >>

??? I don't want to know. From another planet maybe?
