Huh? Some people have heated garages.. I think what you're describing is a block heater and all that does is make it easier to start the car. As for me, I live in an apartment building and park my car on the street.

So how does the car start in the morning if it's so cold? What if the spark plugs freeze?

It hasn't happened to me yet. When it's very cold the engine cranks slowly and the gearbox feels like molasses but it still goes.

They said -30 to -50 below tonight with the windchill here in freaking Vermont. I hate winter.

lol spark plugs freezing.. my camaro sat outside during a couple -30 nights and it still started fine this morning for a quick spin (gotta run it once in a while before I sell it, although it sits in the garage most of the time)

lancer had no trouble either although it did the same as ultima's protogay, turned slowly but fired up jsut as quickly and molasses tranny.. bleh. steering too
