Your RAM is bad. Simple right?
RMA it or return it. Do a Memtest 86 for a few hours to confirm.

Melchior sounds right, run memtest, i would do it longer then a few hours though, perhaps a full days worth

And if the RAM checks out, then start thinking Power Supply. You've barely got enough to run that system with 300W.

Edit: Budman got it first.

Yup. Run memtest for a while. If OK then I would suspect it's the PSU.

That power supply seems kinda weak for the system you're running.

That psu is plenty, it's a good brand as well, so for his system it's fine. YOu should relise that 300 is plenty. Dell puts 250watt psu's in their 8400, which can run the x850xt.

So a PIII 300 MHz PC was made? I could have sworn that was the age of the PII.

Jokes aside, I would RMA the RAM right away - and look at replacing the PSU with with one that offers a 400W capability.

300w antec is not real strong on the 12v rail which is important for the cpu and videocard...while you do not have o/cing..I still would considera newr cpu...I know my Athlon XP 1700@1900...was able to clock same speed with lower voltage with Antec 480W vs 300w..with same videocard..9700pro

I agree ram MAYBE an issue..if it test ok on memtest 86..I et the psu is the issue..

if it is an older antec 300w...then repalce it..I have noticed Antec has update voltage on various rails..I had an older 480w and these seem to have bumped the 12v rail a bit..so a newer 300w maybe better than my older 3yr 300w antec

But it did prove a pus with more juice makes a difference..my OCZ 520 w is much better for stability vs my Antec 480w true power

Make sure you get all the updates for the game. Or since it's online you might have to have the latest updates just to play it, I'm not sure.

I have to agree with the other replies. RAM, and PSU If you have access to a different PSU for a short while, that would give you a lot of answers.

Actually, I play EQ2 now and then and they have MAJOR memory leaks. I'll get issues like that on the past three rigs I've upgraded to (which has been in the last two months). Visit WoW tech boards, see if this is a common issue.

Antec don't make a 300w TruePower, the psu he has is an Antec SmartPower 300w which unfortunately only has 15A on the 12V rail. :(

Still, run a memtest first just to make sure it isn't the ram.

The only problem is that a weak, or fluctuating PSU can make RAM show up as faulty also. :(

In any case, I'd still put a better PSU in there. The True430 is Antecs best price/performance PSU. IIRC I've seen it for like $60 online.

I know they do not make a 300w truepower...my 300w...is 3yrs old+...was not capable of as much as I expected...which is why I suggested another psu like others..still could be a ram issue but the 300w was great in its day...but for todays system...

I just though maybe Antec had a new one out with better 12v rail...15A is skimpy for ctodays cpu/videocard IMHO

That's what their TruePower PSU's are for. ;)

Call me crazy... they made 300MHz Pentium III's? I thought the slowest ones were faster then that... 300MHz sounds like Pentium II.

I know I'm nitpicking... I'm bored.

LOL ...it might not even be an Antec PSU as all his sig states is that it's an Antec case w/300 watt power supply/4 fans !...that initself could be the problem as others mentioned

I used to think Antec were great psu's but I have changed my mind..I think the OCZ 520w Powerstream I have is much better unit than my Antec 480w TruePower which is brand new and rma replacmement for a 480w that blew(I will say the rma support from antec was awesome)

But the OCZ is much more stable and allows a better o/c on my system..and I do not think it is the 40w difference

While you're waiting on your psu you can check out your ram.

Go here http://www.memtest.org/ and grab memtest, you can get a bootable floppy or there's even a ISO that you can burn to a cdr & boot off your cd if you dont have a floppy.

Good luck.
