If the converter's locked up at freeway speed, I don't see how the chip could affect freeway RPM. Unless it makes the converter lock up better ( :confused: ) or makes the OD ratio lower ( :confused: ). Converters are either locked up or they aren't.

I could see it could alter when the converter locks up.....or mebbe the chip just introduces some error into the tach signal.

That is my guess. Or there are hampsters involved.
