You think that's bad? I just found out that my penile reconstructive surgery wasn't tax deductible 🙁
Yeah, because it's exactly the same thing.

Oh well, so much for trying to cheer you up with a joke.
i thought you were trying to say that it's just as applicable for deductions... and as someone else pointed out, my sarcasm meter is broken today. 🙂
Oh, I guess I can see how you read it that way 😱

I sure hope noone in this thread told you you could, because if you would have asked us, we would have most definitely told you it is not.

Oh, and Skoorb quit your whining, I couldn't deduct my wife's breast job either 😛

A stripper could deducte a Breast Job, right?

Holy sh!t. :Q

I hope you're making like 25$/hr. 30$/day just to go to work! :Q

Medical Expense would have to be greater than 7.5% of the gross income.
A business expense ans an employee would loose 2% of the cost of the surgery.

Self-employed can strip[/b] it off completely from the income as an expense.

I'm pretty steamed, because I pay about $30 a day in commuting costs. My accountant just told me that I can only deduct it if I was working for myself or if I was a contract worker, not if I'm on the payroll. :|

Why did you pay an accountant to tell you that it was impossible 😕

I've been doing this for nine months now. It's NJ to NY, I pay 8 bucks for the Verazanno Bridge, 6 bucks for the Outerbridge or Geothals bridge, 1 buck for the Garden State Parkway, 1 buck for the NJ Turnpike, and $10 gas.

10 bucks in gas A DAY? DO you drive a freakin big rig??
No, I drive appox. 68 miles EACH WAY and I use premium.

you get some shÐtty gas mileage.

Maybe premium is more expensive in my area than yours? I have no idea what I get per mile, it's a 2000 Maxima SE.

That's not why I paid an accountant.
