When I was in my late-teens and early-20s, I had the same philosophy - party, party, party. Many nights ended when the sun was coming up. These were some awesome times and I didn't particularly care for those who wanted to head home at 11:30 (P.M.) either. A few of our parties ended when our "designated driver" was pulled over by the cops (one was a .28 and other a .31). Some bars had 3-for-1 nights, so getting loaded didn't take too much money at the time.

However, several years later (late 30s now), I can appreciate a quiet evening at home with my family. Watching DVDs, etc. and going to sleep around 11:00 P.M. If you are young - under 30, by all means have lots and lots of fun - stay out late, etc. Once you get older, the responsibilities in your life will change your schedule a bit.

<< it was 9:45, then you could say they were a bunch of lamers, but 11:45 is fairly late. The bar scene gets so old. >>

Tell me about it. When I first got here (college) I was hitting the bars and the clubs almost every night. Now I prefer just hanging around for the night. Sure I still drink and "party" (if you want to call it that) but I just do it here. Now I only hit a bar maybe twice a month (and damn it saves me money) and the odd house party.

I'm spending this whole weekend alone too...my g/f's gone home to be with her friends, and my best friends here are gone for this weekend too...so I've just been chillin with myself. I like a little alone time...hell, i'm evening drinking alone...sipping a heineken as I speak. No I don't get hammered alone...I'm having one or two beers for pete's sake!!

BTW, what's with dissin Mike's Hard? It's a good drink that's easy to go down if you don't feel like drinking anything serious...plus you can get drunk off less @ 7%.

All of my friends' parents think that I am the "right" crowd. Little do they know I stay out till the wee hours of the morning.

Course, I don't rave, never tried and never will try any drugs, don't like strip bars, and am a broke as college student.

Personally I can't fvcking stand bars. HATE bars. Ok not hate, but very much dislike. All a bar is is a place to blow a lot of money and sit in a high-noise enviroment. It sucks. I'd pick sitting with some friends in the living room with store-bought beer any day of the week.

I definately think hitting the bars/pubs is over rated as well. I'm nearly 18 here in England and at times well in fact most of the time I really can't be assed to go. One its not all that. Sure its good to meet up with new people etc etc. But its not exactly great.

I just like to chill around someones house and chill out, watch a dvd, talk, eat, do some drinks if they want to.

It doesn't matter what you do I think as long as you have good company anything is fun and a good laugh.

Also I don't like to drink much. I'm more of a social drinker you can say.......

Damn straight!

A good english pub is definitely a nice place to be, but a bar is a bar and bars suck!

Bingo!
I have a better time sitting on the stoop with a couple of good friends than going to a club/bar where I don't know anyone
