Dammit I'm gonna get rid of that damn X5. Seems people have no clue it can stop as quickly as it does. Today a bus cuts infront of me on the way home from work so I slam on the brakes. Two seconds later I felt the impact. Ford Escort couldn't stop in time and skidded in the wet pavement. It was a relatively low speed hit and the weight of the X5 more than offset that of the Escort so I barely felt the hit. Thankfully there is no sheet metal damage or paint damage but a good chunk of the left rear needs work. The entire bumper cap, rear bumper skirt, airdam, left rear fender flare, and entire exhaust on the side will probably have to be replaced. So instead of sleeping in tomorrow, I need to be at the dealer at 7AM for a repair estimate.

Strange but my other X5 was creamed by a truck exactly 364 days ago. Even happened within a 15 minute time window. Boy my luck as sucked lately.

Give Windogg a break! His car got rear ended - anyone would be upset. Jealousy is no reason to not feel bad for him.

I'm sick of work and will probably take time off before I do something that will get me locked up with Bubba.

friday the thirteenth. yes.

My car got rearended by an old lady while it was parked . . . the lady promptly drove off without leaving anything but a witness . . . who didn't manage to get her plate number.

she left scrapes, mostly, but she destroyed the right taillight, and they stopped making taillights for 1991 Sables, so we went junkyard diving and came up with one that would fit, but it didn't match the other. So, on the left I have the luxury model tail light (original) with crome and cool designs, and on the right I have the basic model light, no crome, and no deisgns.

It looks really wrong from the back, but most people can't explain why until I point it out. heh



heh, about fri13, I was using a giant pneumatic stapler at work, boxing up a heater I had just assembled, when the stapler, which has been rock solid, fell apart. I mean, into its individual components with screws rolling around that had been in really tigtly before (by pneumatic, I mean that it is connected to the air compressor and tank at work that also powers the other heavy manchinery.


It was weird. I put it back together and it worked fin the rest of the day.
 
Plus I wasn't even supposed to have been on that fricking road. My ex asked for a ride home and said she'd be out in 15 minutes. Of course I waited 40 minutes for her. By the time she showed, it was the heart of rush hour. I had I just gotten my ass home, I would never have been near that bus or woman.

Seriously, this Friday the 13th sucks. My girifriend of two years told me she has an eating disorder. I don't want to get into more detail, but needless to say I'm pretty shaken.

guess what my mechanic told me today? my left headlight unit needs to be replaced, my power steering liquid is leaking, i got wheel bearing, and of course my car didnt pass the state inspection 🙁

According to supercars.net, the McLaren F1 LM has 2.9 for 0-60 and the Bugatti estimated about 3.0 seconds. Anyway, both car cost about $1 million 🙂
