Anyone else listen to his stuff? He's an incredible musician and his music gives me the chills everytime I listen to it, expecially the Blower's Daughter and Cold Water. I saw him in concert around a month ago and he was terrific. I highly recommend his CD titled "O"

They play those, "Volcano" and "Cannonball" on the singer-songwriter station here in Seattle. Good music, but I haven't liked it quite enough to buy the CD.

What genre?
"singer-songwriter" or "adult alternative folk-rock" I guess.

the blower's daughter is an awesome song.
Haven't heard his other songs yet, but if they are as good, I might buy his CD.

Rice has been everywhere lately, after being featured on the Closer OST...then Lost with Hurley's scene, hilarious.

As for Fingolfin269, Amos Lee...definitely more upbeat than Damien Rice. Lee's on Blue Note, which is a great honor, and is a labelmate of Norah Jones (who guests on two tracks on his self-titled album). He's touring this summer with Bob Dylan and Merle Haggard...that's a helluva lineup for that kind of music.

blower's daughter is one of the only songs that is good imo. He doesn't sound like he can sing in his other songs, he is OFF KEY most of the time.

Same here. It's a fantastic album. I listen to it at least 3 times a week.

I don't know where "Heifetz" comes from, but if it has anything to do with the violinist, you should know that music does not mean always being pitch perfect. If that were true, then Bob Dylan, one of the best songwriters and musicians of all time, would be bad most of the time.
