Dam BIOS problem

I got yet another free computer. The country club I work for just updated to a whole new system (really nice too!) and they're going to get rid of some old junk. They told me that if I want anything old I can take it. So, I now have a new toy. It's a Celeron 333 MHz on an Atrend ATC-6130 Rev 1.1 motherboard. Yeah, I know, like I really need another computer toy (there's only about eight in our house).
It had BIOS version 2.0 02 GS on it from Award. I tried to update it to handle larger hard drives. None of the BIOS files I downloaded would flash (they kept giving checksum errors). Then I finally got one to work and it turns out to be an even older version of the BIOS. Version 1.~ I think. Now I'm screwed because I can't get old.bin to flash back onto the chip. I'm just about to the point of ordering a new chip to plug in. I've found a web site that'll get me one for $25 with the latest version of the BIOS from the manufacturer (their words. biosworld.com) on it.
Can anyone help? The flashing program is AWDFLASH.EXE version 8.~.
I think I'm screwed.

I Can get you a new chip with a pacthed bios to support 128 GB HD.

Check MY sig for bios chip purchase info.
07/22/1999-i440LX-W977TF-ATC-6130C-EB ATC-6130 VER:1.0 11 GS 128 GB

IIRC my BIOS string was 09/28/1999-i440LX-W977-ATC-6130C-00. Up top, when it booted, I saw ATC 6130 VER: 2.0 02 GS. It wouldn't handle a 40 gig drive without me putting the jumper on the cylinder limit prongs.
The original chip has this written on it:
ROCK
29F010-15
816GN280722002UG
which would seem to verify the bios numbers I've given you above. Ya got one of those?
BTW, I've saved all manner of downloaded BIOSes and the original one somewhere. I just want to get my new project back on the right track instead of moving backwards.

I know, I've looked over your page. You'll note that I said I have the original saved, via the AWDFLASH program, as old.bin on a hard drive here. Would that be of assistance?

I see a version that I've tried before. Said version I downloaded from other sources though. Maybe this one will be different.
Thanks,
Barry
