Well I doubt it would appease the major hardliners, but it should appease everyone else that is actually concerned about water contamination. Really, it should be a requirement for going under a major water way any way.

Some honesty would have been nice, seeing as how he said he's been an adult for a long while, but it was just diversion and fixation in equal measure.

To be fair, your experience with racist terms referring to native Americans is pretty limited.

And I'd bet money the pipeline will go in right where it's been plotted, this was a way for Obama's admin to bow out and get at least some of the protestors out of the harsh winter.

While I'm not a petroleum engineer, generally with most alternative design solutions there are other tradeoffs and risks besides just cost. For example double-hulled oil tanker ships offer improved endurance against minor collisions causing oil spills but are in turn more susceptible to explosion due to buildup of volatile gases between the hulls and other risks. So what's the tradeoff for annulus pipelines if we used those instead?

New pipeline being constructed that passes through various major fresh water rivers. Initially went through a fresh water supply for a white community, so it was re-routed to go through several rivers that provide fresh water to Native American communities.

Said Native communities protested, and were promptly met with attack dogs, pepper spray and beatings. As the construction progressed, police instead used water cannons (in freezing temperatures), concussion grenades, rubber bullets and pepper spray. Propaganda drivel issued by the police claimed that no water cannons were used, and that the protestors were in using explosives

Bunch of white veterans were going to march on up and demonstrate alongside the Native Americans, which quickly prompted the pipeline to be "looked at".

MajinCry is also omitting that the new fresh water intake for Standing Rock is 70 miles away from the pipeline. It was an expensive project and the intake is near Mobridge, SD.

From what I understand, SRST got a TARP grant in 2008 to construct a new fresh water intake correct?

So the story that the SRST overplayed their hand in the negotiations in trying to get tolls for the pipeline is false?

Just because it could cause issues isn't a defense if it met the safety requirements.

I suspect you're smart enough to both understand how pollution works and compare how the folks here were treated compared to whitey actual terrorists freedom fighters in oregon and such.
