Order of Operations in Math

Rule 1: First perform any calculations inside parentheses.
Rule 2: Next perform all multiplications and divisions, working from left to right.
Rule 3: Lastly, perform all additions and subtractions, working from left to right.

Why do you think they making fun of Canadians?

The pathetic thing is that if Americans had to answer that question without the aid of a friend or mechanical device, I'm guessing that over half of them would fail!! At least they're confident the majority of Canadians will get this correct.

i live in canada, here we call it BEDMAS (brackets, exponents, division multiplication (in the order they occur), addition subtraction In the order they occur))
