Daily Show kinda sucks with Obama in the White House

I guess it was to be expected. The Daily Show has gone way downhill since Obama took office. Maybe the Daily Show gang should wrap it up soon. Other comedic talk shows aren't affected as much since they don't focus so strongly on Political humor. But for the Daily Show, it's all political humor. Without Bush...they're tapped out of ideas. Hasn't been too funny since Obama came in.

you guys have always sucked

The Daily Show was really good for a long time. What do you guys like, Rush Limbaugh or something?

wow. lots of humor lacking in this thread. figures.

Eh, it'll pick back up. They had a pretty good time ribbing Clinton. They'll get it together soon enough. Bush was just too damn easy, and blatant...

The correspondents just aren't funny, Wyatt Cenac? Seriously? Without the easy material of the last eight years it's going to take some time for them to recover.
Colbert, Carell, Helms, and to a lesser extent Corddry, Martin, and DeCaro were head and shoulders above anyone on the current cast.

It was funny five or six years ago. The show didn't always have the heavy political overtones that it does now. Some people think it's a real news show, lol.

The other black guy (without a beard) is awesome though.

They got soft. Bush was basically an unpaid staff writer the last 8 years. No creativity was necessary when everything he said was a joke. I'm sure it'll pick back up in a while.

Colbert is actually better now I think.

Was it ever funny? Oh, and it can't hurt that John's got a hard-on for Obama like the rest of mainstream media.

The Daily Show is "mainstream media"? Reality, meet Proprioceptive..

Yeah, the daily show pretty much ripped on the Mainstream Media all these years... and the sad thing is, they're probably more informative than they are.

Completely agree on both counts.

They haven't been able to find ways to make fun of Obama?

as far as I can tell, there is usually a honeymoon period when a new president takes over. Give them a few month.

There's plenty of material to use against Obama, hell Obama makes Bush look like a genius. But they choose not to because the unfunny john stewart would rather give him a bj.

Look, I agree there's still plenty of material with Obama. Throwing out obviously false statements does nothing to help your argument though. Of the arguments I've heard about Bush being a good president (the few that there are) not one of them has focused on his mental acuity.
