Had been in the store walking around checking for posted bargains, but didn't see much of anything. Then as I was walking out I noticed someone loading up this TV and just had a feeling they were getting some kind of deal. Could see the SKU, so when I got back to my car I called the store for a price and they said it was $99.45 but there were none left. Had her check all the other local stores and there were no more to be had. After I got home and acting on a hunch, I decided to call back the original store to ask someone else for availability and they told me they had the display model left and would let me have it for $70! Used the $15 coupon and one of my two $50 GC given from OD on the defunct Garmin GPS III+ deal to yield a total out of pocket for a whopping $5!!

Price online keeps fluctuating between $219.99 and $224.99 (presently) - really screwy! The $15 off $50 I think I found at fatwallet a while back - expires 2/24/01. There is a coupon code # but many of the stores require the actual coupon printout.

I called up my local OD and the guy told me they had one and they'd hold it for me. When I got there it turns out they didn't have any, but they did order one for me, and yes it is 99.45. Unfortunatly he wouldn't let me use the $15 off coupon, but $100 for a 19" TV/VCR combo ain't too shabby

I found a warm deal at OD clearance tonight. They have the Vtech VT91-1421 900 mhz digital cordless phone(supposedly the world's smallest, about the size of a cellphone) for $49.99 and with the $15 coupon, $35 plus tax. Kind of a cool phone, has caller ID, etc....List is $129.99, but I know it can be had cheaper than that....sku#232011.....

Good Deal for tv/vcr but how is Daewoo as a company? like anyone have this tv/vcr? Is it crappy? I don't wanna crap thread just wanna find out if its worth the buy, just sounds to good to be true

Wow. Great price for garbage, but at that price, it doesn't matter.
Kind of like the Bar owner that sets up free shots of this really nasty stuff.
You drink it because it's free. Nasty, yuck, spew, spit, spit..
Then you do it a few days later, when it's free again.
Some one has to clear out the garbage that no one wants to buy (at regular prices).

Even though I was told all the other stores didn't have any remaining, I decided to call all the local stores anyway. Found one store that had their display model hidden away in their store room. Got them to knock off an additional 20%. I know now this is surely the last one to be had around here. So, $79.88 minus $15 coupon minus my other $50 GC from the Garmin GPS III+ deal = $14.88 out of pocket.
