daemn -- 49ers putting the smackdown on Carolina....

Yea it's always going to be "not a test until x game". I do agree though that the hawks game will be challenging for them. They always come to play when it comes to the 9ers.

Since we don't have a thread this week:

Packers done good. 🙂
Badgers played their first not-a-junior-college of the season and got their furry butts handed to them. 😛

Packers look very formidable so far, Jones is quite the RB and Rodgers is lights out, defense is very good as well. in the NFL you have several strong teams, Green Bay, Minnesota, San Fran and New Orleans.

I guess you meant NFC--but also don't forget Seattle. ....I still think the Rams are better than their record, but probably not by much. They aren't the same team from last year, but I also think they have a lot of issues (Goff is historically horrible on the road, for one thing) that seem to have been hidden beneath last year's offensive output.

Green Bay looks like the top enchilada so far, though. Really wish we could have seen Majomes last night, but that's football.

Fair enough. That is what people said for the rams and the panthers though.

I am not one of those people .... Ram's are very overrated (especially Goff who I'm not sold on at all) and the Panthers without Cam Newton are mediocre at best.

Right now IMO the best team in the NFC is the Saints, but the 49's D is downright scary.

My main issue with the Packers is lack of overall defense.

If the Chiefs had a healthy Mahomes last night I think they would have won.

I'll admit I am a die hard faithful. One thing I've noticed though. The Niners aren't beating all these teams by one or 2 points. Aside from the mud bowl a few weeks ago there is no doubt who has dominated these games. Om actually looking forward to some of the tougher games.

Man...what is actually going on over there? lol. I recall the same sort of thing back in ...wazzit 2011, that first Harbaugh season, where they came on with a soft 3-0, but then just went on a straight dominant tear with some solid teams over the middle of the year? ANd it was so weird, because you knew it was the same team with the same kids on the field from the dismal Singletary years, but just in that first year, it's NFCC game and they lose on a Ted Ginn donked punt, TO to the Giants, in the final minute....and then the Giants go on to do the LoLEli thing on Brady again?

anyway....that year. Good fun. Then the SB the next year. Those were some solid years. Then Drama and fire Harbaugh for some dumbshit reason. god damn. I wish the Seahawks would have had Harbaugh if I knew SF was going to be so dumb about that....at least I would have no more guilt in pulling for the Hawks (the presence of Carroll....it's like you feel evil for eating Chik FIl-A...but the sandwich is that good! so unfair, the moral struggles of modern man...)

But being out here on the East coast I feel like those dudes at that same time that didn't realize until late that season how truly good that team got....but it was like the only thing on TV at 1pm (love those late game times on the west coast) so it was perfect.

Yup, the Niners have 3 great RB's, a quality QB and a genuinely nasty front 7 on D. With Jimmy G coming off the ACL repair they have been smart and kept his workload very manageable, and if you can pound the rock like they do, why not?. Teams eventually need to bring LB's/safeties closer to the LOS to try and stop the run to then get hosed by play-action.

Actually I like Seattle, and when you've got someone as talented/smart at QB as Wilson you always have a shot. I just think the level of competition in the NFC is extremely high this year but we'll see, injuries happen and things can change quickly.

Chiefs have really slipped up recently...they came out of the gate red hot but have dropped the last three. I wonder how the rest of the season will go.

I still don't believe the 49ers are that good yet...but I'll keep watching.

Packers are doing better then expected. Can't wait for the Packers vs Vikings game.

Carolina was supposed to be a quality opponent for the Niners but it wasn't even competitive, agree the Vikings/Packers game should be great, we can now officially dump the Bears from competing in that division.

Wow tonight was one hell of a football game!

Test passed for Seattle ... although I have to say the 49ers are very good and it takes a few losses like this before you can win it all.
Need to get a triple bypass surgery after this game. Clowney laid the smackdown on the niners

One of the best games this season. I'm happy as hell the Seahawks were the ones to break the Niners' winning streak.

I didn't have a dog in this fight but MAN did this game entertain!. I feel bad for the one-week rental FG kicker the Niners brought on board, 1st he's the ultimate hero only to be the ultimate goat, ugh.
