Dad Just Wrote A Book

This is really exciting news, not because this is my father, but because a man of 70 years of age, that lives a life pharmaceutical drug free and is healthier then people half his age, in America is quite a feat.

Now I'm not here hyping this because this is my father, but truly he is on to something. If you really care about your health and you take pharmaceutical drugs and don't really think much about them, then you need to get this book, you will not regret it and someday it will save your life!

isn't quite correct, but is so oddly formed that the corrections would be complex.
Basically the independent clause in the sentence is 'and only then' should be set off by comma's, not 'then and only then'. However, because of the compounding of the sentence it gets tricky. Personally I'd rewrite the entire line.

Congrats to him on the book btw.

"A" grammatical error? It's poorly written, period.

Though I probably agree with his basic premise. I don't take drugs unless I'm seriously sick. And I'm very healthy overall.

Sheesh guys thanks a lot, just cutting me down and flaming this, I just noticed that yes the web page has typos, but it is only on the webpage, two companies, he told me proof read the book, the book is good to read. Thanks for your input on this, but if your going to just cut me down for trying to share something then please go away I don't appreciate making fun over something that is serious that I am only trying to share with people.

Next time I have something to share then I'll just keep it to myself since everyone seems to be acting like damm children, I really don't dig this at all! 🙁

As far as that link goes, my father told me, he doesn't use that page to promote the book, or do any type of advertising with it. The publishers put it up, because that is what they are going to do with a book they publish, advertise it on their site and for me at this point in time it was the only source of information I had to share with everyone, but hell I didn't think everyone would be so damm critical.
 
sorry to say man, but even if you believe the message and all, posting links here looks quite a bit like promoting it for your dad.

That pisses off most people here.

Relax man they weren't that harsh. They just pointed out the grammar/spelling errors on the site, which is constructive criticism.
 
"Benefit of others... heh, that's a good one." This sounds like some sacrasim, being smart. "A" grammatical error? It's poorly written, period. This one here is not criticism, this is cutting someone down. I hope your dad is a better writer than you. You repeated the same line over and over, more cut downs.

Well, my company can save you money. Its for the benefit of others! But you don't see me posting advertisements for it. Take out an ad on AnandTech. that's the only way to advertise on this site.
 
SORRY I didn't mean this as advertisement, in fact it never once crossed my mind at all. I was just excited about my father writing a book and wanted to just share, that is all. It was never my intention to promote, the post was just to share, so again SORRY, I see now I shouldn't of said anything.

I hope you understand that most of AT is not like this.

My friend, I didn't cut you down in the least, and I offered my congratulations to your father on his accomplishment. All I did was offer some help on something I noticed in case it was within your sphere of control. If anyone was seriously shopping for a book and saw that page they would likely be turned off because of the glaring errors. I was simply trying to help. If you don't appreciate that, no worries.

raildogg doesn't believe in the 1st Amendment. If anyone posts a topic, everyone should blindly agree with the poster as to not create a hostile and unfriendly environment.

Congrats on your dad writing a book, too bad the original post sounds more like a pitch than anything else.
