dad had surgery in the morning......

I'm sort of nervous but just really tired....

If you guys wouldn't ming praying or whatever it is that you do, hopefully it will help🙂

EDIT: thanks to all for the support.

My dad was really nervous this morning but we got through it and we jsut home and he is resting upstairs, basically drunk from all the anesthesia

He was so enamored by the generous hospitality demonstrated by the surgical and residential staff and that made hime smile the shole time🙂

Tomorow we have to go back to change the dressing...

only then will we know if:

a) the retina became detached during the surgery (draining plus vessel repair)
b) whether he will ever see out of that eye again🙁

His name is Francsico. He is actuallly my step dad.

Unfortunately since about 2 years ago his right eye has been filling with blood and remained that way. He is practically blind in that eye🙁 He can only differentiate between light and darkness 🙁Tomorrow they will drain the blood and see if his retina detached, which a common result.

There is a chance that he may regain some of his eyesight but it is liek a 6% chance...odds are he will never see with that eye again🙁


We are just hopinh for the best🙂


Seriously, having know all the people that I know, he is the most caring, most compassionate, most wise and loving person that I have ever met🙂
 
sorry to hear that....I'm not religious, so I won't pray so much as keep him and you in my thoughts. Hope the best for your family...
